Established in 1983, the Company was formed by John Gargan who had previously worked at Edward W. Turner & Son (Liverpool) Ltd. for 10 years in both Agency and Chartering.

It was in these years that John formed his early associations with the Scrap Metal exporters. Such Companies as John R Adam & Son, Meyer & Newman, Pearce of Exeter, Dalmeijer and the Cohen Group but to name a few.

In the early years the Company was based in the Corn Exchange in Liverpool city centre where John worked alongside his father who ran his own Marine & Cargo Surveyors business (John Gargan & Co.) which still trades today.

Michelle Hodrien joined the Company in 1991 working in the Ships Agency department. In 1999 Michelle moved over to the Chartering side of the business and now works alongside John regularly chartering vessels, specialising in the Irish Sea Trade.

In 1991 the Company purchased its own offices, Trident House, which are located on the A565, about 2 miles north of the City Centre.

The Company are proud of the relationships built up over the past 30 years of which many have become and remained close friends and hope to see this continue in the foreseeable future.
